Terry Wright
Terry attended Fulmer International School of Equitation in Fulmer, England from 1977 to 1978 where she was enrolled in the working student program of the B.H.S.A.I.   She received further training under Robert N. Hall, D.B.H.S., International and Olympic Trainer, who was the official trainer of the British Olympic Team for four (4) Olympic Games, including the 1956 Stockholm Games in which the three-day team won the Gold Medal.   While she was in England, she also worked at Fulmer as the head of staff riding and lessons as well as being in charge of three stable blocks.

Following her return to the United States, she has worked up and down the East Coast from Massachusetts to Louisiana at a number of prestigious riding establishments from Briarheath Farm as an instructor specializing in Combined Training as well as teaching the local chapter of the Pony Club in Covington, Louisiana to Fulmer International in Aiken, South Carolina as the senior instructor, helping to organize and manage the new riding school.

She has worked at Ashford Farm in Sharon, Vermont as the stable manager and riding instructor, Fox Knoll Farm as the assistant stable manager in Southern Pines, North Carolina, as well a The Riding Center, in Aiken, South Carolina as the stable manager and senior riding instructor.

Terry is quite proficient in the classic art of training horse and rider.   Her emphasis in teaching is to help the horse and rider become a better team through improving their communication skills at all levels of dressage.

Along with training horses and riders over the past 20+ years, Terry has worked with Carol Brett of BALANCE International saddles.   She possesses the skill and knowledge to demonstrate this unique saddling system which she has used in her own professional career for the past 10 years and recommends the system to others who wish to obtain the same level of performance and soundness from their horses while interfering the least with the horse's natural movement.

We invite you to work with Terry to accomplish your personal training goals as well as those of your equine partner.

Terry is currently a member in good standing of the following organizations:   USA Equestrian (formerly American Horse Shows Association) and the United States Dressage Federation.
